LEARN
LEARN. No, not an abbreviation for anything, it is exactly what the project is about; learning. The Warehouse Project is an urban community project that focuses on empowering the 'Waththe' community in Maradana. It is a neutral space for learning, studying and other enriching activities for youth. Beyond Borders in conjunction with the Warehouse Project runs the LEARN program which teaches kids and helps them with their academic activities. The Project currently conducts English classes twice a week and is looking to expand the number of days taught and the variety of subjects, with the addition of new passionate teachers.
ReachOut
Reach Out is a voluntary youth-led organization of women, interested in creating a more functional and self sufficient Sri Lankan society.
Our goals are women's empowerment, youth participation in community work and inter-community harmony in a world where people of different backgrounds and beliefs tend to clash unnecessarily. Most importantly, Reach Out is all about making change.
